A Future We Want
We, as a family, have decided to take steps to live a better life, consistent with our values and beliefs. Jumping off the hamster wheel has not been easy, but circumstances have transformed challenges into opportunities and we are now on the road to uncovering a new future.
Knowing that we wanted something better and more authentic was the first step, but What? Where? How?
We had many questions, too many to be able to make wise choices. We have therefore decided to take a step back and spend the next 12 months going through these questions and find inspiration from other like-minded people who have been courageous enough to have taken these steps before us.
Without getting tangled into a philosophical debate, what we hope is to live a simpler, better life. Voluntary Simplicity, Simple Living, Sobriete Heureuse, Buen Vivir, Permaculture, Transition, Regenerative living are all social movements that inspire us and we hope to explore these ways of life during the coming year.

We are looking to get a better understanding on how successful and sustainable regenerative agriculture & ecosocial businesses are operated. If you are able to share your experiences with us, please drop us an email and we would be happy to spend a few weeks to lend muscle & brain.

The places we have stopped at have been beautiful and we have wanted to stay longer in each. It has been a challenging few days though with difficult access roads; 6kms of mud road to reach Bush Bay, 40km of corrugated off-road in a night rainstorm to reach Ningaloo Station, before being told that we could not get to Lefroy Beach and had to wait in a temporary campsite overnight; setting-up in pouring rain; mattresses, duvets soaking wet…... The weather has not been kind with the exception of 2 beautiful days in Ningaloo. We are now at Exmouth to get a hot shower and internet! Tomorrow will be a long driving day as we head off towards Karinjini National Park where we hear is also cold and pouring with rain!
